At the first roundabout on leaving the car park, you need to take a left. Take the lane under the blue sign that says Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo. This leads to a slip road which allows you to join the carriageway without having to change lanes.

The first sign you see says Puerto del Rosario 4. There are many small signs at the roadside telling you distances. The white sign says Parador National, which is the hotel at Playa Blanca. If you want to go straight to the beach you can take this exit. Otherwise you can stay in the right hand lane.

The view of Puerto del Rosario from here is quite good. The white sign says Antigua, La Oliva and Corralejo. You take this exit to the right and the road swings round to the left.

The road goes under the road you have just been on. This puts you on the ring road around Puerto. The sign says Antigua 19 La Oliva 24. At the double sign follow the arrow for La Oliva.

That is straight on the way the bus is going.Under more bridges then the sign says Corralejo 36.

There is a large yellow enclosure on the right. The next sign says Corralejo straight on. So go straight on.

Under more bridges, and only 34 more kilometres to go. The speed limit here is 90 km/hr. It is advisable to stick to the speed limits as the police are often checking speeds.(Everywhere not just here)

Another sign for Corralejo straight ahead. If you need petrol this is your first garage. Go straight ahead through all the roundabouts on this section of the road.

You will see the distances increasing on the roadside signs which are spaced 1km apart. They tell you the distance from the beginning of that particular road.

Beware of deer really means beware of goats. They are actually quite well behaved and are rarely a threat to the motorist. At this roundabout there is a turning to Guisguey. There is a good view of Montana Roja.

These structures are to be found at the boundaries between the different municipalities. The turning on this roundabout goes to Caldereta and La Oliva, which is the capital of the municipality, though Corralejo is much bigger.

This sign indicates that it is straight on to Parque Holandes and Corralejo. The Horseshoe bay development is on the right, before the Parque Holandes roundabout, which is distinctive because of the windmill...

...and also because of this unfinished building, which now has graffiti on it. Montana Roja looms large, as you enter the Nature Reserve that contains the Corralejo dunes.

The sign warns of sand on the road, it is not always there but it is sometimes blows across the road. The large hotels on the right are the Tres Islas hotels.

There are two roundabouts on this stretch of road providing access to the hotels.As this section of road is busy the speed limit is now 50km/hr. The mountain behind the sign is the extinct volcano on Isla Lobos. The road then bears to the left and you can see the built up area of Corralejo, and as you are entering Corralejo please switch to using the Corralejo map. You will be where the red dot is (right bottom of the map), entering Corralejo.
