Corralejo Carnival

Corralejo Carnival is held over 10 days around the middle of March. Various events, such as the Carnival Queen and Drag Queen competitions are held each night at the Recinto Ferial in the old town of Corralejo. Corralejo Carnival is traditionally the last carnival of the carnival season.

The Grand Carnival Parade is held on the Saurday evening of the last weekend of Carnival. It usually takes about 4 hours to pass by a particular spot as it is so long. There can be around 100 floats and hundreds of individual participants. It´s a very noisey night in the town, as the post parade party goes on all night.

The 2012 Carnival is on from 8 - 18 March, with the Grand Parade on Saturday 17 March. The theme for Carnival is Musicals.
