Feria Del Deporte, Fuerteventura Sports fair

The second Feria Del Deporte, sports fair de Fuerteventura, will be held between the 19th and 22nd of April in the Granja Agrícola y Experimental on the FV2 as you turn onto the road to Pozo Negro. The Feria was organised by the Sports council of Cabildo de Fuerteventura and with the collaboration of the city councils, Government of the Canary Islands, clubs and sport federations and various others. There will be lots of sporting events to watch and to take part in so it is well worth a visit. Here are the approximate times of some of the main events.

THURSDAY 19th OF ABRIL 2007

09:00 h. Arrival of the school children to the Fair

10:00 h. Opening of the Fair

10:30 h. Exhibitions of Medieval Fencing (Zona Amarrilla)

13:15 h. Opening of the Fair to the public

20:00 h. Fair closes

FRIDAY 20 OF ABRIL 2007

11:00 h. Opening of the exhibition “Isla de Fuerteventura-Vuelta al Mundo Majorera” , with the collaboration of Radiomulticultural

11:45 h. Presentation of II the new Book which catalogues the traditional Games and Sports of Fuerteventura(Assembly hall).

12:30 h Exhibitions of Fencing (Zone Amarrilla)

13:15 h. Opening of the Fairground to the public.

16:00 h. Tennis (Zone Amarrilla).

17:30 Exhibition of flying model aircraft (Zona Azul-Pista de Aeromodelismo-Pto.3)

20:00 h. Closure of the Feria.
