Is it easy to get hold of a broadband internet connection on Fuerteventura? Is it possible to get connected out in the sticks?

You can get on the internet at most internet Cafe's, although it is a bit difficult out in the sticks, as you put it, as its hard to even get a hard line telephone never mind an internet connection.

A company in Puerto call Telmax are making head way into supplying wireless broadband connection in a lot of rural/hard to reach places.

In most of the tourist towns, you can get wireless internet quite easily from a variety of sources. But if you want an internet connection with a hardline phone your out of luck, I'v heard of people waiting over two years for a line, even if there had a line in before. This is down to the lunacy of Telefonica.... wish an other telephone company would come here, they'd clean up
