Local beer costs between 1.50 and 3 euro a pint depending on where and when. Happy hours and all that. Eating out costs about the same in euros as it costs to eat pub food in the UK, but you can obviously pay more in some places.

The San Jorge is one of 3 linked hotels on the seafront, which share their facilities as they belong to the Elba Group.

I know of several people who have stayed there and they've always been happy.

The best thing is to try all the bars :D , as I don't think there's a bad one! Check out their happy hours and move from one to another!

El Capitan is a good established bar. The Aberdeen Steak House (?) has good deals for both drink and food. But as the Fox and Duck say, there are prices and styles to suit everyone. Enjoy trying them!

Found the best place for value this time out was the Sports Tavern which is part of the Broncemar Complex. Great food and reasonable prices. A pint of local beer is €1.99 and Guinness is €2.99. A free drink is on offer with some of the menus and there is a good choice. It is run by the two lads who used to run The Revolution Bar and then the supermarket by the Geranios.

We had a good Sunday lunch at the Sports Tavern. With a drink included in the price it was really good value too.

Hi Sam
If you fancy a nice walk from the San Jorge, you could take thecoastal walk out to Nuevo Horizonte, (Come out of the San Jorge onto the coastal path and head left along the path) bring some small nuts in your pocket for if your lucky you will come across the chipmonks which inhabit that area and they will come up to you and take the nuts out of your hand !!
After walking for ten to fifteen minutes you will come to a big white building (an unused water park) turn left and head up the hill wher you will find the latest bar to open there Mustangs which have really good food in it , you will also come across a couple of other places, Villa Piazza, Jing Jing Chinese (excellent food and value !), Rumours has good English fare , and Diamonds Karaoake Bar is always well worth a visit where Dave can record your song onto a disc for you as a souvenir of your visit !! Go further up the hill and you will come to Stoners Irish Bar where you can be assured of a great welcome and enjoy the "craic" there .
So when your out dont forget to head to Nuevo !! If you don't fancy the walk back any of the bars will call a taxi for you and it will be €4-€6 for the trip . Enjoy your stay Sam !!

There is also Oopsydebsy's, a cafe that does home cooked food that goes down a treat with everyone. Home made pasties and cakes, and if you insist on having a fry up it can be constructed the way you like it.
