Must be north this time of the year, otherwise all the nestin g sites would be gone and they would not be able to appear on Springwatch with Bill Oddy.

Lots of swallows here ar the moment. There were a couple of dozen flying among the traffic at the roundabout near the petrol station in El Mattoral, and loads flying over the pool at the atlantico centre, with a couplke of house and sand martins joining in the feast.

There were some at the same roundabout this afternoon, and some up at our house this evening.

I've read up on them and they can fly 200 miles a day at around 20mph. The English swallow migrates to southern Africa for the Winter. Interesting stuff.

They are still about. They were at the Spider Roundabout/Pcan garage this afternoon. Have they decided to stay here, rather than go to Europe for a wet summer?
