In MH in December you can fish from the sea wall - http://www.freewebs.com/caletafuerteventura/photos/A%20Flight%20Around%20The%20Island%20-%20December%202007/flight%20015.jpg - or, along the rocky south coast. Float - light float 6-10g with prawns for small sea breams, boga and mullet. Heavy float 30-60g with live boga or other small fish for bonito, gar fish, bluefish ad leer fish. You can use dead sardine as well. Bottom fishing - 60-80g, paternoster with calamari for bait. The fishing is best in the morning, evening and at night. If the sea is choppy you can fish with live or dead fish bait under float for bonito all day - you need deep water more than 10m for that - like from the harbour wall.
At sunrise and sunset try lure fishing for bonito ad bluefish
the best plug for lurefishing for bonito, bluefish and barracuda is Duel Hardcore Heavy Sinking Minnow - 11cm
I think there is some good fishing to be had in La Pared, which is fairly close to Costa Calma, but on the other side of the island, which is only about 5 km wide at that point. Similar fishing techniques will apply.
Thanks for the replies and advice, spent most of this afternoon looking for info on chart depths to no avail. So both replies are great info on where to fish. Information found with regards to boat fishing form Morro does not sound very good as people are saying it's not worth the money the operator charges as he is the only operator. so will more than likely look further north for this. Thanks again Steve httphttp://www.sunnyfuerteventura.com/forum/posting.php?mode=replhttp://www.sunnyfuerteventura.com/forum/posting.php?mode=reply&f=39&t=4015#y&f=39&t=4015#://www.sunnyfuerteventura.com/forum/posting.php?mode=reply&f=39&t=4015#
