Hello everyone,

I am visiting your lovely part of the world for the first time in December. Staying in Caleta de Fuste ( hope my spelling is correct). Staying in a friends apartment. Really looking forward to it and hope the weather will be kind to me. :) Can't believe I will be there in a month and am so trusting, have already forward booked a week for next June, too.

I am considered rather tasty by mossies, unfortunately  ( since I was badly bitten in Venice, never happened before that), is there a mosquito problem I need to be aware of?

Just trying to gauge what precautions I need to take to minimise being bitten. :)

Hello, welcome to the forum. :D

The weather should be good for you in December :D . Temps around 23 in the day, dropping to 15 at night. 8)

There hasn't been too much of a mozzie problem recently, but take the necessary precautions just in case

Thanks for the welcome. Great news about the weather, am so excited that I will be there in a few weeks.

Have been sorting out my plug ins and spray - better to be safe than sorry. I have a really bad reaction to the mossies but to date only affected me in Venice, never in Spain - oh I forgot, I was badly bitten by the midges in Scotland last year but I believe they are notorious for bites, similar to the tiger mossies in Venice.

Will have to eat marmite before my holiday - have read that stops them from biting - perhaps they don't like the taste  Thank goodness that I do :D

Welcome from me too. :)

I looked up the marmite link on the internet and it seems that it is the vitamin B that they don't like, so top up on that. If I remeber rightly vitamin B is also good if you have been stressed.
