Events and fiestas on Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is often referred to as La Isla Tranquila, however we have found that there is always something going on on the island sporting events, market fairs, fiestas and general getting togetherness. Here you can find information and photographs on all the events we have covered so far.

Sporting events

The sporting events we have covered so far include, motocross at Puerto del Rosario, the cycling events - fuerte-bike 2005 and 1st Marcha cyclista, and La Oliva Car Rally 2005. We will be covering more events as they happen.

Fiestas

The Spanish love to party. We have covered some in Corrralejo and Puerto del Rosario, see the links for details.

Markets, Fairs and Celebrations

Besides the regular markets thet are held at Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste, there are various fairs and other social gatherings, throughout the year.
