After a series of three 11.30 kick offs this game retured to the usual 11 am kick-off time. The away team were from Madrid and at the start of the game they were in the relegation positions, but there isn't a great deal to choose between the teams in this division and it was the visitors who scored first from a free kick from a cental position just outside the box. The ball was lifted over the wall and went in high to the keepers left.2

Fuerteventura then went straight down to the other end, but the keepr was able to smother the threat. This reprieve was short lived and Fuerteventura scored with a shot from distance that the keeper was only able to regard as a helpless spectator.

The second half was a little duller than the first, with Novoa changing his red shirt for a grey version. With few decent chances being made and the respective goalkeepers performing well enough without having to make any exceptional saves.

The action was not all at one end, but UD Fuerteventura did have the best of the play.
and the game finished in the away teams penaly area.
Among this week's crowd were Mick from the Amigos de Fuerteventura and Kenny Dene of Legends.
As well as Aridane Hernández Umpiérrez, who has signed for Liverpool FC. He will play for them next year at reserve level initially. He is a very pleasant young man who intends to play with "Fuerteventura" on his shirt. We all wish him well.
