The Cabildo acquire four ambulances to equip the civil protection services of the Municipalities of Fuerteventura.
The investment will rise to €235,000 and the ambulances will be operating in 45 days, according to the contract.
Cloudtraps at Morro Velosa, Pico La Zarza and Montaña de la Muda
The work on the installation of the first "cloudtraps" has commenced in Morro Velosa; the installations are temporary and will remain experimental for some months.
Mirador de Morro Velosa reopens
The Consejería de la Red de Centros y Museos del Cabildo de Fuerteventura, have reopened el Mirador de Morro Velosa, a popular viewing point and restaurant which has been closed for a considerable time.
Return of the mystery packages
The mysterious packages reported on this site on October 25th 2005 have reappeared on the island. This one was in Morro Jable on the carnaval weekend, with the same wrapping as the originals. Why are they waiting to open them?
Stolen Laptop.
A laptop and mobile phone, and an incomplete set of Linguaphone Spanish tapes were stolen from an apartment on Cocosol, Nuevo Horizonte on 1st April (and it is not a joke) between 12 and 12.30.
Las Rotondas shoppìng Centre opens in Puerto del Rosario
A brand new shopping facility has opened in Puerto del Rosario. It is called Las Rotondas, which is Spanish for roundabouts because it is to be found between the sundial and the iron man roundabouts.

Fuertemúsica 2006 Dates and Information
The festival, which will take place in El Cotillo for the third year, will have a Brazillian flavour. It is to be held on the 30th June and 1st July.
New Visitor Centre at Cuevo De Llanos.
A new visitor centre has been opened at the Cuevo Del Llano in Villaverde.
