'Activate' teaches young people to practice Kitesurfing on the Island

40 students got closer to a sport that Fuerteventura has the best practice conditions for

The Kite workshop which was held on the beaches of El Cotillo in the activities program called 'Activate' , organized by the Ministry of Education and Youth of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura directed Claudio Gutierrez.

40 young people between 18 and 35 years were able to enjoy this course which was split into four shifts of 10 people, to provide a safe and personalized training for the participants.

As a new feature compared to the first edition of Activate Kite held last year. In addition to traditional training in the use of the kite on land, the students could enjoy a second part of classes developed in the open sea in which they learned to navigate, supervised by monitors from a dinghy.

These courses were taught by professional instructors from Magma school in the north of the island, who introduced the participants not only in technical matters of the kite , but also in major security measures necessary to practice the sport safely, which has unbeatable conditions in Fuerteventura for maximum enjoyment.

The next activity within the timescale of 'Activate' will be the days of Modern Music to be held from 29 to 31 October at the hostel Tefía. The deadline for registration in this conference ends on 4 October. Planned activities include various workshops for voice, guitar, bass , keyboard , percussion , drums and PA management workshop .
