Bus station delay
The new bus station at Gran Tarajal that should have been completed within nine months is still unfinished after two and a half years.
New bus service
The Department of Transportations and Communications, there will be a new bus service to serve the municipality of Tuineje.
Further storm news
The city Hall of Fuerteventura has been working hard to detail and quantify a study of the damage caused by the recent high winds that affected the Canaries, in order that Fuerteventura can claim its share of an aid package.
The General Council of Security and Emergency of the Government of Canaries ended, late last night, the state of alert for the archipelago on account of the Tropical storm Delta, which is currently over Africa. But problems still continue.(Nov 30th)
Schools were closed on Fuerteventura yesterday as reports came in of a dangerous storm heading for the Canaries. (Nov29th)
Disruption in Corralejo
The mayoress Claudina Moral regrets the inconvenience to pedestrians and drivers due to the 450 plants and shrubs that are being planted in the first phase of improvements to gardened areas in and around Corralejo.
Astronomical Observatory
Today, Thursday, 24 of November at 12:30pm, will be held the inauguration of the astronomical observatory of Fuerteventura, in el albergue de Tefía.
Attending the ceremony will be the presidente of the Cabildo, Mario Cabrera, the councillor of Education and Youth, Alejandro Jorge, el alcalde de Puerto del Rosario, Marcial Morales, and members of the society of Astronomía de Fuerteventura.
