Ryanair have just made an announcement to the press that they are pulling out of Fuerteventura, the reason stated is that the local tourist board does not promote Fuerteventura.

This appears to be an attempt to pressure the powers that be to act quickly to prevent Ryanair pulling out of Fuerteventura with the inevitable decline of tourist numbers that will result.
