The mini tourist train El Castillo is again running through the streets of Caleta, after the City Council awarded the service to a company for an annual fee of 10,000 euros. The train is adapted for people with reduced mobility.

LAst December the contract award to the company that involves increasing the annual fee to more than 10,000 euro per year was signed, the transfer of more than 30% of its advertising panels informational and municipal use for at least five days a year for social events or public interest. The price is set at 1.98 euros per adult per journey, 1.48 euros for children and for eight euros you can use the train all day.

The tourist train El Castillo is a glazed locomotive and has three carriages, with seating for more than fifty users, including PRM access ramp for the disabled who require wheelchair use.

The train runs every day of the year, from 10.00 to 18.00, with departures every hour approx. It runs between the harbour, Montecastillo (Chipmonk Mountain) and the Atlantico centre. When you buy the 1.98 euro ticket you will generally pay 2 and for this you can do the whole circuit to where you get on, but if you get off you cannot get back on again unless you pay the higher price.
