The department of Seguridad y Emergencias of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, has completed the distribution of 5 digital breathalysers by presenting one to the local police in Antigua.
The breathalysers, which cost a total of 9 000 €, have been financed by the Cabildo, as part of their ongoing work to raise the standard of equipment available to the local police.
The automated breathalysers allow the police a more efficient means of assessing the level of alcohol consumed by people suspected of drink-driving.
