Caja Canarias provide the council with bathing at the beach facility, for people with reduced mobility for the whole island

The Corporation and the social work of the organization, today gave 14 water seats to municipalities and water Residency Island Disabled

Users of the Occupational Centre and the Residence Island Disabled were the first to test the water chairs who have acquired the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the Work of Social CajaCanarias to deliver to all municipalities of the island and the Residence Hall.

The ceremony was held this morning in the Playa de Los Pozos capital of Fuerteventura, with the presence of President of the Cabildo, Mario Cabrera, director of CajaCanarias in Fuerteventura Island, Gregorio Gutierrez, the director of Social Affairs, Health, Consumption, Housing and Immigration, Victor Alonso, and representatives from the municipalities of the island, among them Marcial Morales, mayor of Puerto del Rosario, and a number of local councilors.

This is a line of 14 chairs specially designed to facilitate water bath on the beach for disabled persons, which was shared with two for each municipality and for the other two Island Home for the Disabled.

"The chairs are ready to be transported by one person, are very slight, because they are built of plastic, and with wheels designed to roll on the sand. The aim is to improve the quality of life for all users of social services, "said Victor Alonso.

Mario Cabrera said that "these chairs allow all municipalities of the island access to the beach to all who need it, allowing the bath to enjoy not only all people with disabilities, with limited mobility or seniors, but also to those who attend. "

Gregorio Gutierrez pointed to the pride involved for the institution is "to help the most disadvantaged sectors, and in this case to enjoy freely as a natural right to enjoy the beach in comfort."
