Fuerteventura sees 19% more foreign tourists visit in June than for the same month last year

So far this year, the number of international visitors who came to Fuerteventura increased by 38.48%

The number of tourists landing at the airport from international airports, last June received a total of Fuerteventura 133 263 foreign tourists, 21,318 more than in June of 2010, which means a percentage increase of 19.04%. In absolute terms, the UK is the market that saw the greatest increase to Fuerteventura with 4810 more tourists than in the same month of last year, reaching a total of 41,564 and producing a rise of 13.09%. Closely followed by Germany, 4749 came from Germany last month than in June 2010, adding 52,670 German tourists, a rise +9,91% .

Third, and also the largest percentage increase in all markets, is Poland, which had 2306 visitors to Fuerteventura in June last year to 5754 in June this year, which would mean an increase of 149 52%. The French market is fourth, given that 6375 tourists arrived in Fuerteventura from French airports, increasing the figure by 108.13% over the previous year.

On the other hand, the increase in the island of Fuerteventura has been harvested in international tourist arrivals so far this year, ie January to June, reaches the 38.48%, as the total reaches 882,723 foreign tourists, 245,293 more than during the same period last year. Some markets, such as Italian, Polish and French have doubled their presence on the island so far this year.
