The Cabildo of Fuerteventura opens to the public starting this Sunday, June 28, the facilities of the Island Sports Center 'Melián Francisco', whose renovations and expansion the Town has invested more than two million euros, with the assignment land required by the municipality of Puerto del Rosario. The new sports complex has two artificial turf fields, 11 soccer regulation size, adaptable to four football fields 7, in addition to changing facilities and bleachers. The total area is 21,525 m², in an enclosure that includes a closed perimeter with controlled access for entry and exit from the public and for health care, thanks to a design free of architectural barriers, as the current legislation on accessibility .
With regard to the changing rooms are located in the main building complex, a structure of 500 m ² which has eight changing rooms and four restrooms. The space of the spectator stand will be two modules with 30 m ² warehouse and a capacity for 300 people each.
