The Government allocates 30 megawatts of wind power in Fuerteventura.

The Regional Ministry for Employment, Industry and Commerce of the Canary Islands Government has allocated 30 megawatts of power for new wind farms in Fuerteventura.

 

Four projects that have proven benefit from this tender, whose decision is published today in the Official Gazette de Canarias (BOC).

Companies that have received allocations of power in this island are: Gas Natural Wind 6, SL (9.2 mw) wind Barbanza S.A. (7.2 mw), Iberdrola Renewable Energies de Canarias, S. A. (9.2 mw) and wind power Fuerteventura, SL (4.4 mw).

These companies can now start the process to build two wind farms in the area known as Morro in Puerto Galera del Rosario III, Black Mountains in the municipality of Antigua, Puerto Galera Morro del Rosario and La Tablada in Tuineje.
