The International Day of Museums to be Celebrated by Free Entrance to the Fuerteventura’s Museums.

The Departmet of Centres and Museums of the Cabildo, which is directed by Cirilo González is organising an open door day for all its centres to celebrate the Internatiuonal Day of Museums, which is to be celebrated on Thursday 18th May..

During the day the Museums belonging to the Cabildo will be open from 10 am through to 6 pm, with organised activities for visitors, with the emphasis on activities for school children.

As part of the day the Visitors Centre at Cueva del Llano, the entrance to which is shown in the photograph, will conduct presentations in which the paleontolgical value of the area will be explained by the staff and guest speakers from the Organismo Autónomo de Museos del Cabildo de Tenerife. There will be a tour of the workshops that form part of the centre at the Ecomuseo de La Alcogida, and at the Las Salinas del Carmen, the students will be able to participate in workshops related to the production of salt.
