In this manner he emphasised “during the development of the fair the LAF (labortorio agroalimentario de Fuerteventura) had been awarded accredition, a unique award of its type within the archipelago”.

Other themes of the Feaga during the feria will be the introduction of the cultivation of mussels on the island, which will bear fruit in the next two years, to “allow Fuerteventura to recover one of the elements that had always been one of its characteristics”.

The Minister fo Agriculture, Juan Estárico, noted the necessity to “incorporate new techniques and technologies in the field, which allow the development of all types of cultivation with the best possible environmental conditions, whilst always maintaining the customs and trsaditions of our farmers.” And he continued “one will be able to see these at the Feaga, on the displays of the different institutions, businesses and agricultural societies that will be attending the event at Pozo Negro.”

feaga-queso Among all of the events at the Feaga it is fitting to highlight the 5th National Competition of Goats Cheeses, with participants from over 70 locations in the country, as it has become unique of its type in Spain.
