Fuerteventura celebrates Canarias Day
Canarian day on Fuerteventura is celebrated on the 30th May. Children dres sup at school and there is a big party in Puerto del Rosario
The Town Hall Finalizes The Restoration Of The Ermita De Nuestra Seņora De La Merced, in El Time
Constructed in the last quarter of the 17th century in the town of El Time in the municipality of Puerto del Rosario, the Ermitage has, thanks to the direction of Manuel de la Trinidad, been renovated. The main reconstruction work has been the roof which was damaged during the passage of the tropical storm Delta which hit the Canary Islands, in November 2005.
The city council continues with the campaign of cleaning up Corralejo with the installation of special waste bins for the excrement of dogs.
The ayuntamiento of La Oliva has started up a new campaign of cleaning, in this case by providing waste bins for the disposal of canine excrement.
The Pedestrian Walkway and Cycle Path in Caleta de Fuste are almost complete
The avenue consisting of a pedestrian walkway and cycle path in Caleta de Fuste which connects the Atlantico shopping centre the and new hotels in the south of Caleta to the town is about to be completed.
The Town Hall Finalizes The Installation Of Traffic Lights To Control Speed
The last of the sets of lights recently installed in Fuerteventura entered operation this week in Tiscamanita.

Fuertemusica 2007
Fuertemusica 2007 will be celebrated on the 29 and 30 of June in the beautiful setting of the beach in El Cotillo. Artists appearing will be Concha Buika, La Mala Rodriguez, La Troba Kung Fu, Toni Manero, Vanexxa and top Columbian artists Aterciopelados.
