Historic car acquired

The Ford arrived, probably from Germany around 1930, we think via Matas Blancas beach close to Costa Calma. It was then dismantled, loaded onto the back of donkeys and camels and taken to Cofete to be rebuilt. For a considerable number of years it travelled between Cofete, Morro Jable and Punta de Jandía, playing an important part in the development of that area of Fuerteventura, by speeding up the transport of goods previously done by camels and donkeys.

Cirilo González, consejero of the Network of Museums and Leisure Centres, will try to find suitable replacement parts to restore the car to its former glory.
