El Ayuntamiento meets with tour operators at the London tourism fair
La concejala de Turismo, Nereida Calero met with the main British tour operators,Thomas Cook, Thomson and MyTravel, among others at the world travel market in London.
Nereida was told that lots of other winter destinations were fighting hard for a share of the market, and that the fight to maintain the British market would not be easy. However, Fuerteventura is one of the highest rated islands of the Canaries.
The city hall of La Oliva took promotional material, tourist and professional guides, caps, ballpoint pens to the event with the intention of re enforcing the idea of La Oliva as a tourist destination, but also to find out the deficiencies of the region and changes that need to be made to retain the British market. Corralejo is a relatively unknown destination and the attractions of the region have not yet been sufficiently promoted.
