The Cabildo of Fuerteventura invests 201,142 euros in the project of recovery and rehabilitation of the lime kilns, the ancient salt wells and the island of Lobos. The Bureau of Procurement of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, which met yesterday under the chairmanship of Jordan Cabrera, decided to raise the proposal to award the work on the company by Maxodiver SL, to be valued as the best among those who attended the tender.

Jordani Cabrera recalled that the project is raised by the Ministry of Environment "and will focus on restoring the traditional structures of the Isla de Lobos, such as lime kilns, the cisterns and ancient salt mines. This action arises the objective recover those existing structures on the island of Lobos which have stood the test of time even today. "

"This is a total of eight structures, wells and furnaces, plus the old salt mines, we want to preserve for the benefit of all visitors who come daily to the islet," said the counselor for the Environment, Natalia Evora ..
