Turtle Camp, located on the beach in Nuevo Horizonte (Fuerteventura), recorded Tuesday night the start of the hatching of the 10 turtle nests ' loggerhead ' (Caretta caretta) have been placed in the sand on the beach, in the reintroduction project of this species that drive the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands Government, ULPGC and the Government of Cape Verde, among others. The nest number 3 was the first to present activity, with the birth of a total of 46 baby turtles, which surfaced divided into two batches, the first around 22:00 pm on Tuesday and the second, well into the early hours of Wednesday.
