People often think that coming live on Fuerteventura would be a good idea, and it certainly has advantages over living in cold northern climes. Besides the 3000 odd hours of sunshine that bathe Fuerteventura every year the temperature never reaches single figures, so though a small amount of heating is needed to ward off the chillier nights, the fuel bills for those living on Fuerteventura are miniscule compared with those that have to be paid to keep a house in Britain or other northern countries warm through the winter.

Not everybody that comes to live in Fuerteventura stays here. The most common reasons for not staying are not being able to meet the financial needs of being here and missing the family, or something else, back home. With these things in mind it is probably best to come to live in Fuerteventura for six months without burning your bridges at home. It is unlikey that you would be priced out of the housing market by rising prices, and the six months would help you decide exactly where you want to live. There is a forum on the site (the sunny forum) and there is a section on living and owning in Fuerteventura.

We will also have pages written by holidaymakers that offer a different perspective to the lie by the pool type holidaymaker. Many people like nothing better than to come to Sunny Fuerteventura for just that; two weeks in a horizontal position making sure they have a tan to show off back home. In some ways they are missing out, as there is so much more to do on the island.
