Wheelchair hire costs only €50 per week, however a refundable deposit of €30 is required. The chairs can be delivered to your hotel. Besides delivering the wheelchairs to the major resorts of Corralejo, Costa Caleta, Costa Calma, Morro Jable (sometimes referred to as Jandia), Scan Mobility Hire are happy to deliver to private residences, or even to the airport in Fuerteventura, free of charge, to be there ready for your arrival.

The wheelchairs available for rent have been specially selected, by someone with personal experience of using wheelchairs in Fuerteventura, to be most suitable for use on a holiday break. The back of the chair half-folds and the chairs are made of lightweight steel which allows easy transportation in cars or taxis and and easy storage.

The seats are made of vinyl and the back in canvas, the front castors are puncture proof and the chairs have quick release footrests.

The width of the seat is 18inches and the chairs are designed to hold a maximum weight of 18stone/115kgs.Further details are available on request.

Unlike most of the destinations in the Canaries, Fuerteventura does not have the steep slopes up to all the hotels in the holiday resorts, and the regulations on catering for those with disability are upheld. Although some of the ramps provided for people with disabilities are quite short but steep. Corralejo recently won a blue flag award for its beach, and one of the criteria was access for those with disabilities so you can see that this island is friendly to those with disability.
