The village of Villaverde will be celebrating its fiesta in honour of St Vincent Ferrer from March 31st to the 9th of April.
Villaverde is just north of La Oliva, on the road between La Oliva and Corralejo. The village is quite small, but does boast a large supermarket and a rural hotel and restaurant, as well as an agricultural museum.
The museum is open from 10am until 6pm. On Monday through to Saturday.
There are two well preserved windmills on a ridge. The windmills present a worthwhile photographic opportunity, and there are good views of La Oliva and Mount Tindaya from the ridge.
When we were there, photographing the fuertebike marathon, we walked along the track that is more or less opposite the museum. The walking here is good, as the track is easy to follow, and there are some interesting views from the track.
