Windsurfing in and around Corralejo, Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura has everything a windsurfer could need; plenty of wind and lots of coastline, lots of which consists of beaches hat are favourably located in terms of wind directions and accessibility.
Corralejo, in the north of Fuerteventura is well catered for as far as windsurfing is concerned. There are hire and tutition services available at both in the centre of Corralejo, and at Flagbeach, which is about 4km south of Corralejo. There are also several sources of accommodation aimed specifically at watersports enthusiasts.
The windsurfing photographs shown on his page were taken in the centre of Corralejo. There is a long shallow stone jetty that allows access to the water and most of the windsurfers run out to sea for about half a mile, and then back again in a line perpendicular to the shore. The prevailing wind here is more or less parallel to the shore.
