Nuevo Horizonte is on the east coast of Fuerteventura, close to Caleta de Fuste. The area was originally developed with tourism in mind, Caleta Paraiso and Cocosol being two of the more established complexes. The newer developments have been constructed on a more residential basis. The area is still developing, with several newer developments approaching completion. These include Golf 133
The visitors that appreciate Neuvo Horizonte most are those that are looking for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the busiest bars in the area is Kavanaghs situated in the Caleta Paraiso complex. Other bars and restaurants include Big Ben's, The Italian Connection, Los Remos and Katies. There is also a cafe, called Volvereta, that sells freshly made bread and cakes.
It is a short distance from Neuvo Horizonte to the larger resort of Caleta de Fuste. Caleta de Fuste can be reached by following an attractive coastal walk that is populated by amusing chipmunks. For those of you that regard walking as something not to be done on holiday, Caleta can also be reached by taxi. The fare is around 3 euros.
