El Cotillo, Fuerteventura
El Cotillo is a trendy town, popular with those who love watersports as it is in the windier part of the island.
There is a tower at one end of the town and a lighthouse at the other end. At the tower end there is a family beach and towards the lighthouse is the lagoons which are also popular with naturists.
The tower is open to visitors and often hosts exhibitions of various types.
The village has two harbours. The old harbour, which is not used very muh these days apart from during the fiesta and the new harbour which is used by the local fishermen and a dive school.
There is also an old lyme kiln that is worth a visit, it is located close to the tower.
You will find the usual array of shops and restaurants there.
