Gone Fishing is Fuerteventura's newest fishing tackle shop, and it can be found on the taxi rank side of the Centro Commercial El Castillo in Caleta de Fuste. The photo of the tower shows the location of the shop from the taxi rank. See the Caleta de Fuste map for the exact location.
The owners of the shop are Aram and Sara, and during a holiday in Caleta de Fuste in 2005 Aram had difficulty finding replacement tackle, so they moved to Fuerteventura from Sheffield to open their fishing tackle shop.
Aram has been fishing for 28 years and began his fishing in the Mediterranean before going on to fish in the Red Sea, and then the lakes within reach of Sheffield, where he specialised in fishing for carp.
The photo shows a tuna caught from the local rocks by Billy, one of the locals. Besides 6kg Tuna it is possible to catch a whole host of species including Parrot Fish (Vieja), Variety of Snappers, including the common Bream, Mullet, Garfish, Needle Fish, Blue Fish, Bonito Tuna, Barracuda, Wahoo & Sting Rays. All these can be caught from the rocks in Caleta or beaches. Further out, the big game include Blue & White Marlin (up to 450Kg), Sword Fish, Bluefin Tuna (upto 350 Kg), Dolphin Fish, Sharks (Blue, Mako & Hammer Head). To see photographs of some of these species have a look at the fishing in Fuerteventura page.

The shorter trips are in the morning and the longer one, which concentates on fishing for larger game species commences at 6 pm and the boat is out until midnight.
